Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that the club are looking towards strengthening the squad in the January transfer window. The Norwegian tactician revealed this after the Europa League game against Old Trafford.
United secured a comprehensive 4-0 victory that secured the top spots ahead of the round of 32 draws. The Red Devils have been away from the top of the table in the Premier League with the club failing to make adequate replacements for the exits of Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku in the summer.
It is understood that the club has a list of players that could help the club achieve its aim of making the top fur places. Solskjaer admitted that there have been moves by the club to identify players that could add depth and quality to the club.
“We are looking to strengthen in many positions,” Solskjaer said at his post-match press conference.”We are getting there but we still need two or three players to have enough numbers.”
Some players that have been linked with a move to the club include RB Salzburg forward Haaland, Lazio midfielder Segej Milinkovic-Savic and Napoli winger Lorenzo Insigne. It would be interesting to see whether the club splashes heavily in the January transfer
