Inter Milan are in talks with Manchester United overextending the loan deal of Alexis Sanchez. The Chilean international joined the Italian side on loan this season but has been unable to feature prominently due to injury.
However, when called upon by Conte, Sanchez has impressed and he is set to be rewarded with a new deal. Tuttosport says that Inter Milan and United have engaged in talks for the attacker with the major stumbling block being the percentage of Alexis wage that the Italian side will be obliged to pay.
Inter Milan currently pay €5m of his €12m salary and United would be expecting the Italian giants to pay more for next season. Sanchez future appears to be heading to a disappointing end despite recent statements by United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Solskjaer had revealed in an interview some months back that the club would be happy to welcome the Chilean back ahead of next season. But with the latest reports, this is looking increasingly unlikely.
Staying in Italy would be a good move for the 31-year-old as he looks to resuscitate his career with the Nerazzurri who will most likely feature in the Champions League next season.
