Borussia Dortmund have emerged as a top contender for Birmingham city youngster Jude Bellingham. But Manchester United are still considered the favourite to sign the wonderkid.
Dortmund have beaten the Red Devils to the signing of another teenager in January. Erling Harland snubbed the Manchester giant to join Dortmund in January, and they look to be the most serious contender for Bellingham’s signature this summer.
Bellingham, 16, has represented Birmingham in all but five championship matches this season.
The youngster who is comfortable at right midfield, and on the right-wing of attack, he has also been deployed as a number 10 showing the true versatility of the player.
He has scored four goals and provided three assists in all competitions for the Blues this season.
According to a report from Germany, Dortmund have an agreement with the Blues for the transfer of the player. But the club have denied the report, stating they have not received any concrete offer for the player.
BVB are said to be confident that they can tie up a deal, though United, who have been scouting the midfielder since August 2017, remain determined to not lose out on another exciting prospect to the German side.
