Manchester City contract rebel Leroy Sane is expected to leave the club in 2020 according to reports from Germany. Popular tabloid Bild claims that the German international has rejected attempts to discuss new contract terms with the club.
It is understood that Manchester City are keen on renewing the 22-year-old contract but the player’s mind appears to be on a summer exit. German giants Bayern Munich are said to be the interest for the young striker with the Bavarians having tried to sign the player in the summer.
However, a knee injury suffered in the beginning of the season ruled out a transfer. Bayern have kept tabs with the forward during his period of rehabilitation and are confident of a transfer in the summer.
It is understood that the German champions are confident of agreeing on a transfer of around €100million for the highly-rated forward. Sane is regarded as one of the top wingers in the world with a mix of pace and dribbling skills a key facet of his game.
Since making his move from Schalke some seasons ago, Sane has turned to an important first-team player for the Citizens. He has won six trophies since making the move to the Etihad and would be a big miss if he makes the move in the summer.
