Italian side Napoli are reportedly interested in Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira. The Uruguay international has been on the Italian side radar since his days in Sampdoria. Torreira who joined the Emirates last season has endured a mixed spell at the club.
His first few months at the club was exciting with many pundits feeling that he provided the missing link that the club had lacked in the midfield. His ability to win the ball and cover up for his defence made him a fans favourite.
However, this season has seen the player spend most games on the bench and he is thought to be mauling his future at the club. Napoli are said to be willing to move for the player in January as they look to strengthen ahead of the second half of the season.
Napoli have had a poor start to the season with the club sacking manager Carlo Ancelotti and replacing him with Gennaro Gattuso. Arsenal value the player at around €25m which is more or less the amount paid to Sampdoria for his services last summer.
It remains to be seen if the London club would be reading to sanction a deal for the midfielder as there is no ready replacement.
