Arsenal are reportedly reviewing their plans for a new manager following the availability of highly respected tactician Carlo Ancelotti. Ancelotti was sacked by Italian side Napoli despite masterminding a 4-0 victory over Genk that secured a spot in the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League.
It is thought that Arsenal management have turned their sights towards the Italian who has a long list of honours in his managerial career. Arsenal are expected to face a fight for his signature with Everton approaching the tactician’s representatives as they look to replace Marco Silva.
The Telegraph reports that Ancelotti is one of the top contenders for the Arsenal job alongside Mikel Arteta and former Valencia manager Marcellino. The managerial merry go round in the EPL is on pace for record levels as five managers have already lost their jobs.
Arsenal needs a manager of Ancelotti’s experience as the players would be able to listen to the Italian tactician who coincidentally has not finished lower than the second position in the league since 2010.
Arsenal fans have a positive attitude towards the manager as there were several fans asking for his appointment as news broke of his sack on Tuesday night.
From the looks of things Ancelotti’s next job is with England, it remains to be seen if he will end up in London or Liverpool.
