Manchester United could lose star midfielder Paul Pogba to Real Madrid in the summer according to reports from Europe. Spanish tabloid OKdiaro claims that Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is keen on bringing the player to Spain.
It is further revealed by the paper that Pogba has given encouraging signs to the Spanish club as he seeks an exit from Manchester United. The Frenchman has endured a season blighted by injuries and his spell at the club has been underwhelming.
Nevertheless, he remains one of the top world-class midfielders in football and a move to Madrid would give him the platform to win the accolades he craves for. A deal was set to be pushed for last summer but Manchester United refused to go below their €200million valuation of the player.
However, the summer of 2020 presents an excellent opportunity for the deal to materialize as by then the french international would have just 12 months left on his existing deal. It is believed that United would reduce their demands by that time to an agreeable price which would benefit all parties involved.
It is thought that Madrid are keen to make the move in the summer as it is widely expected that Croatia maestro Luka Modric would be leaving at the end of the season.
