Manchester United are reportedly interested in a sensational swoop for Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi. The midfielder has been the subject of transfer speculations in the past few days and there are reports that the Red Devils are monitoring his progress.
French tabloid L’Equipe claims that United have made contact with his representatives and are interested in the highly-rated midfielder. Guendouzi arrived the Emirates last season from France and has developed into a decent squad player.
It is understood that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is keen on selling the midfielder due to disciplinary issues. Guendouzi escaped an FA ban for his altercation with Brighton striker Neal Maupay and was left out of the matchday squad in Thursday’s win at Southampton.
The 21-year-old is not opposed to making a move and would be happy to make a transfer to a top side like Manchester United. He has displayed an energetic and creative approach since his arrival at Arsenal and he would be a good signing for the club.
Guendouzi current deal expires in 2022 and Arsenal should be able to get a decent transfer fee for his services.
