Barcelona are said to be pulling back from negotiations for Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez. There have been speculations in recent days regarding the future of the striker with the Spanish side said to have begun talks for the Argentine hitman.
Spanish tabloid Mundo Deportivo claims that Barca sporting director Eric Abidal is pulling back from talks with the club for Lautaro. The report claims that although Barcelona are not completely dropping their bid they are suspending it until the summer.
Martinez is regarded as a natural successor for veteran striker Luis Suarez and has been scouted extensively by the Spanish side. He is known for his aggressive nature and unerring finishing in front of goal. English giants Manchester United are also weighing a bid for the 22-year-old forward.
Inter Milan asking price of £90 million is said to be the major problem and the Spanish side believe that they can get a better deal in the summer. Inter Milan are unwilling to sell but could have no choice if the right bid is offered.
Barcelona rivals Real Madrid are also interested in the Argentine forward and a transfer war could occur in the summer.
