Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly is reportedly keen on a move to Manchester City in the summer according to reports from Spain. The Senegal international has been the subject of speculations in recent seasons and it is expected that Napoli would sell in the summer.
The defender is highly regarded in Naples where he has developed into a quality defender in recent seasons. Manchester City have battled defensive issues this season with the likes of John Stones and Nicolas Otamendi performing below par.
Spanish tabloid Mundo Deportivo claims that the defender has told his representatives that he wishes to move to the Etihad in the summer. The major bone of contention is his transfer fee with Napoli president Aurelio Laurentiis known for his intimidating style of negotiations.
Koulibaly would improve the defence that has been floundering in recent months and would be a marquee signing for the Citizens. The coming weeks would determine whether a concrete bid will be made for the 29-year-old centre-back.
