PSG stopper Alphonse Areola has attracted the interest of several clubs in England according to reports. The 24-year-old is currently on loan at Real Madrid and is expected to leave the Paris side in the summer.
However recent reports claim that the player could be on his way to Stamford Bridge. French tabloid Le 10 Sport claims that the goalkeeper is a target for Chelsea in the summer.
Chelsea are expected to move on from current number one Kepa with his average performances ostracizing him from the fans. Furthermore, the keeper was dropped before the Covid-19 break by manager Frank Lampard with reports claiming that the English tactician wants a new goalkeeper ahead of the coming season.
Areola would be a cheaper alternative to Andre Onana of Ajax and has big-game experience during his time at PSG. the only problem could be that the France international may not necessarily be a suitable upgrade on Kepa. There are also reports that Newcastle have also inquired about the player and could swoop in the summer.
