Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has admitted that he is yet to receive a proposition from the club regarding a new deal. The Gabonese international has been linked with an exit from Arsenal as he nears the last year of his existing contract.
There had been reports that he had turned down initial contract offers but the Forward in an interview with Telefoot revealed that he is yet to begin talks with the London club.
“I haven’t recently received a proposition but of course there have been discussions with the club,” “It’s them [the club] who have the keys and for them to do their work. Afterwards we will see what happens.
Aubameyang also admitted that the next contract would be the turning point in his career and he would need to think it through before making his decision.
“It is a turning point in my career. I have been very frank with everyone.”It will be of course a very difficult decision to make. “It is possibly the most important decision of my career. But so far nothing has been decided.
He also admitted that he wants to win trophies and this would be important in his final decision whether to remain or leave the Emirates.
“Of course [I want to win titles]. Every player that is a competitor dreams of winning titles.”Everyone will then ask the question if you would like to win at Arsenal or win elsewhere. “As I said, it is the future that will tell us that. But I want to win titles. That is clear and everybody knows it.”
